GET READY FOR 5 DAYS OF FINNISH SPITZ FUN!
The National Specialty is being held this year in Lubbock,
Texas, on Wednesday, September 21st, and is followed by 4 days of all-breed
shows, with the breed being supported all 4 days. The all-breed shows are
being hosted by the Heart of the Plains Kennel Club, and as this is a special
anniversary year for them, we are promised lots of fun activities including:
Best Puppy competition on Friday, Best Bred-by-Exhibitor competition on Saturday
and Best Veteran competition on Sunday, as well as Rally and Obedience.

There are a lot of activities in town, and most hotel rooms are already booked.
Any changes/cancelations must be made before 6:00 PM the day of arrival.
There is a $50.00 non-refundable pet deposit per
stay.

Entry Fees:
$25.00 for the first entry of each dog
$15.00 for Additional entries of same dog
$20.00 for BBE and Puppy classes

Classes Offered:
All Regular Classes PLUS:
Junior Handling,
Stud Dog, Brood Bitch, Brace, Parade of Champions & Parade of Rescues
Judging will begin at 12:00 PM with Sweepstakes, followed by Regular Classes at
1:00 PM.

Banquet/Meeting/Hospitality Information:
The Texas-style banquet will begin at 6:00 PM on the evening of Sept. 21, 2011
at the Host Hotel. You will able to unwind at the cash bar prior to
dinner.
MENU: Choice of Fettuccini Alfredo, Chicken Breast w/chipotle cream sauce,
Santa Fe Chicken, Chicken Teriyaki or blackened New York Strip Steak
w/peppercorn sauce. Dinners will be served with fresh seasonal vegetables,
freshly baked roles & butter, dessert, and a choice of either the house salad,
Caesar salad, or spinach salad.
Cost is $35.00 per person. Mail checks/money orders (made payable to the
Finnish Spitz Club of America, Inc.) to Leona Urbauer ~ 5506 Hewitt Drive ~
Houston, TX 77092. All reservations/payments due by Sept. 7, 2011.

The Board will meet on Tues., Sept. 20, 2011 at 8:00 PM at the Radisson Hotel in
the room of President Peggy Urton.
The Annual Membership Meeting will be held on Wed., Sept. 21, 2011 at the
Radisson Hotel immediately following the Banquet.

Judges Education:
The FSCA will host a Judges Education Seminar the morning of the Specialty
(9/21/11) from 9:00 to 11:00 AM.
