Scroll down for information about the Calendar!

One of the most frequent questions we receive from families interested in a Finnish Spitz is: "Where can I see and meet one?" Because of their scarcity, often prospective owners are not in close proximity to any breeders. In an effort to assist those interested in meeting a "live" Finnish Spitz, we have included Club events on the calendar as well as dates and location of shows where we expect a number of Finnish Spitz to be in attendance. The dates of events are in red, and by "mousing over" the date you may see the show/event and location displayed at the bottom line of the Calendar. In addition, by clicking on the date of a show or an event, your browser will open a new window to the show superintendant's page for that particular show. (Note, you may have to disable your popup blocker.) By checking the "Breed Counts" there you can determine how many Finnish Spitz are entered in the show (the Finnish Spitz is in AKC's Group Six, the Non-Sporting group) approximately two weeks before the date of the show, the location of the show from the "Premium List" along with directions to the show site, and the judging times for the Finnish Spitz as well as the ring number by reading the "Judging Program" on the superintendant's show site approximately one week before the show. For Club sponsored events, further information can be found on our Events & Acitivities page. We hope that users will find the calendar helpful. Members, if you are trying to put together majors at a particular show please let us know so that we can add it to the calendar.
